DNF at 83%I really don't know if I should rate this book or not.I'll just point out some things:1. Hero was really good, smitten with his h and was really cute during dates and all. I liked him but got issues seriously.2. The whole stripping of h didn't work for me(because I don't lie such story lines) but I dealt with it. Yeah, she had some shitty life too. 3. Their 3 months separation happened and both got therapy with their issues and I was just like what? Especially that this whole time we w [...]
oooooo I loved it. I just could not put it down.
Fighting Wrath is a hot and steamy heart-breaking read, filled with thought provoking moments that remind us we can all fight our demons.Fighting Wrath follows the perspectives of Tyson, a soon to be professional MMA fighter with anger issues and past demons, and Sydney, a sweetheart with a crappy past and hopeful future.Various trials and tribulations in life have resulted Tysons anger issues and Sydneys work centred mind where she puts others before herself, all the time. After a chance meetin [...]
I had high expectations from this one as I LOVED the first in the series, Fighting Envy, and was really looking forward to Tyson's story. I wasn't disappointed with this very emotional read, what both Tyson and Sydney survived (and poor Sammy) was just incredible and I feel that they were perfect for each other. What I really respected was that both characters sought help for their individual issues and it certainly made them stronger individually but also as a couple. We got to see more of the o [...]
5 STAR READ!! I loved this book, and I'm glad because I loved Fighting Envy, too! This story is all about the past and demons that you just can't let go, but will they love each other to try and move on or will secrets come between these two? I absolutely loved Sammy! One of the best big brothers you could ask for! Sydney and Tyson relationship was easy at first and then secrets came out and ruined everything. Can they fix it? Cannot wait for more books on the guys from the gym! I hope they are [...]
This didn't quite have the same appeal at the first book. Unfortunately I thought the first say 30% dragged and then when the secrets did start to come out I didn't find it all that interesting. I think I was just expecting more. Can't win them all though, and I liked the characters and there are a lot of secondary characters I want to see more of so I'm looking forward to the next book.
Not as good as the first book.just finished and feel that this book was a bit underwhelming. The first book of the series, Fighting Envy (Rowan & Jax) was well written with great characters and a tempting plot.In book 1 we got to meet the guys (all MMA fighters & friends of Jax) and more specifically Ty (Rowan's brother) who had been in prison. Now that he's out and trying to get his life back on track we start to learn that he has a real issue with anger. Sydney a student and stripper i [...]
Tyson is one heck of a man.Tyson has demons he has to work through, fighting seems to be the only way they stay at bay. After having being the protector for his twin sister for so long he really doesn't know what to do now that she has Jax. On a chance meeting in a bookstore Sydney is just about to give him a piece of her mind. What she didn't expect was a good looking alpha man with an adorable baby. Sydney is keeping secrets from him, and we all know that they have a way of coming out in the o [...]
5 teary stars!Ok so I literally just finished this book and I still have tears in my eyes. Sweetness overload Lily, Sammy, and all the gang are so adorable as a family. The hero is so swoony and I love that his issues weren't fixed instantly but realistic. I love that the heroine didn't instantly forgive him. I still have questions that I can't wait to get answers to in the next books.
I know I read the first book and I'm pretty sure I liked it. Now I'm not so sure. I'm in a pretty moderate book slump, and I needed something amazing to bring me out of it. Obviously, this book wasn't up to the task. To start, I'm not sure I liked either of the main characters. Tyler and Sydney really didn't click. Maybe it was because it took so long to get them to even meet. So then, when they finally do meet, it seems like it might be one of those "let's take it slow and get to know each othe [...]
I really enjoyed this book! It was well worth the wait!
I just finished this book, and I'm not even sure what words I can use to describe my feelings at this moment. Tyson was such a beautifully broken man, who had so many demons in his life. He was such an angry person, which I can't necessarily blame him for after knowing how he & Rowan grew up. But, upon a chance meeting with Sydney at the library.he found his life changing and his heart mending, but he still didn't know how to control or rid himself of all the hurt and anger from the past. Th [...]
Another knock out for Jennifer Miller!! I absolutely loved this book!! Tyson was such a complex character and you never knew which version you were going to get! His love for his sister and Lily were another reason he was swoon worthy!! Sydney was such a sweet and likable character, you couldn't help to love her. She had been through so much but she remained strong and sacrificed so much to take care of others! This story was heartbreaking at times but the love that followed was beautiful!! Jenn [...]
I honestly loved everything about this book. Each journey that both Tyson and Sydney takes is one that they both should have talked about in the very beginning of the relationship. But like true new couples, they hold things back from one another. I was seriously on the edge of my seat the entire time I was reading this book. It was that amazing. I can not wait to read the next book in the series.
Loved itBoth, Sydney and Tyson, had a horrible childhood that resulted in them both having issues. Together they find love with a few bumps and bruises along the way. This book was well thought out and well written. I really enjoyed reading it.
Yet again this book did not disappoint!Tyson is the angry at the world MMA fighter that falls hard and doesn't know how to love himself first before loving another. But Sydney is that balm! Their ups and downs are superbly written! Love Love Loved
Love will win Tyson and Sydney story was amazing and will touch your heart in so many ways. Tysons fought his demons while Sydney tried to hind hers when they both take their walls down sparks fly and come together in a beautiful HEA I highly recommend this book
This one, while nothing wrong with it, I think just my mind frame at the time, did not hold my interest as much as the first one. Not sure why.
another great story for this series.
I Am really hoping Sammy continues to get better and even though he might be not 100 % , that he still gets his story too . Everyone should get a happy ending . Just saying
This my first book I have read by Jennifer Miller, what a great story. It was written with so much love and life. I had a really hard time putting it down to do mommy duties. The back story on Tyson and Sydney was sad, but they over came their past and fell in love. Can't wait to read the next book in this series. Thank you Mrs Miller for a book that was an amazing read.
Overall Rating: 4.5 Rockin’ ★★★★☆Violence breeds violence, as does self-destruction and not dealing with it leads to obliteration. WOW…what an emotional roller coaster ride in this surprisingly intense second novel in the Deadly Sins Series by author Jennifer Miller. In Fighting Wrath, Ms. Miller addresses widespread social issues wrapped up in an MMA package. In Tyson and Sydney’s story we explore two broken souls searching for acceptance, reclamation and peace from their abusiv [...]
This is the second book in The Deadly Sins Series. I also thought this book was pretty darn good. Jennifer Miller does an excellent job of keeping her characters connected to one another. This book comes with this warning: *This book does NOT end in a cliffhanger and can be read as a stand alone, although reading the first book in the series, Fighting Envy does add to the story. Due to language and sexual content recommended age is 18+* I did not find this book to be overly sexually graphic. Thi [...]
Fighting WrathA well-earned title if ever there was one. Tyson has been fighting his demons for his whole life. His early childhood with an abusive mother made him convinced that he and his sister couldn’t stay with the woman who they mother. As soon as they were old enough he moved then to another state. Rowan, his twin sister had her tale told in Fighting Envy, which was an emotional rollercoaster, but Tyson’s is so much more raw and edgier. His emotions are deeper, stronger and violent. He [...]
This is the 2nd book in Jennifer Miller's Deadly Sins series, and did not disappoint! After reading the first book in the series (Fighting Envy), I knew Tyson Martin was going to be an amazing hero because of his protective instinct and capacity for love shown with his sister, Rowan. Mix that with the deadly sin of wrath, and you have the makings for an explosive love story.I loved Sydney as a heroine. After surviving a horrific childhood and tragic accident that left her brother forever changed [...]
Loved This Book!!!!!!!!!!, September 15, 2015By Toni MyersEdit ReviewDelete ReviewVerified Purchase(What's this?)This review is from: Fighting Wrath: A Deadly Sins Novel (Kindle Edition)This book was not only Hot, and Sexy, it will definitely touch your heart. Jennifer has a way of pulling you in and getting you attached to the characters, that you feel what they feel. I hurt for the childhood that Sydney and Sammy had to endure their father was a Fuc**** Bas****, what he did to Sammy I wanted t [...]
3.5 stars Fighting Wrath is the story of Tyson (Rowan’s Twin Brother from Fighting Envy) and Sydney a girl juggling a ton of crap in her life and trying to get by. Tyson is still struggling after leaving prison with anger issues. He is doing well fighting and has a job re-building cars but his anger gets the best of him. He is getting by until he meets Sydney and he realizes he needs more in his life. Tyson meets Sydney at the bookstore that he takes his niece on reading dates to. I have to sa [...]
This book hit home on so many levels for me. It was a seriously good read.Tyson is a protector and defender. He loves his family and would do anything for them. His tough hard as nails exterior is sexy as heck but his heart comes out so clearly in his actions. This is not a man who plays games and puts up a front. What you see if what you get and trust me you are gonna love what you get. Sydney is a woman who understands the meaning of selfless. I can’t explain without giving too much away but [...]
So where do I start? I just got my hands on the series 3 days ago and finished Fighting Wrath ( the second book) today! After the first book in the series Fighting Envy I was a little reluctant about this one I always read reviews after reviews before I start a book and this time After my usual *stalking I wasn't sure About the book I was like " what If I skip this one and just start right up with the 3rd ? Different characters right? "But something didn't let me I put away all the 2 or 3 stars [...]
