"You're a very bad man," she murmured, resting her head on his shoulder as he tucked her against him. He smiled in the darkness. "I'm a very bad angel." This series just gets better with each new book! Rebel is an amazing addition to The Fallen series, and as before we have the hot, bad boy, jerkish, gamma hero, perfect combination :)))The storyThe seer Martha knows Cain is coming, and he will bring trouble and destruction with him. And apparently sex too because her visions are full of R-rated [...]
I know, I know, this story is supposed to be all about Caind it is. But for me, this book was all about Martha! I really like her and through all the prior books, I've really been drawn to her and was excited that she would get another chance at happinessbut with Cain? Cain is a bad, bad boy and he likes it. After falling, he fell in love with a human and then had the most horrific things happen. He's now all about revengeeven if it's taken him hundreds of years. Then, he meets Martha and he can [...]
For me, this was the worst of the bunch so far. I could not stand Cain. He's manipulative, pushy, mocking, and just a jerk. I barely tolerated Martha. She's a whiny doormat. Cain has plans for something, we know not what, and the back and forth mocking of Martha and him trying to get her into bed, her resisting, then of course jumping in took up most of the book. We don't find out Cain's plan until the last 1/8th of the book. There's a big battle that only takes a few pages and I'm still not sur [...]
"Oh, I wouldn't say I'm a rogue." Cain shot back. "Maybe a bit of a rebel, but any society needs it's rebels. And what a silver tongued, cheeky, gorgeous Angel Cain is. This is a fab series, not to be missed, loved it!
"Rebel" may be the fourth offering in the Fallen series, but the story found between it's pages needs no help standing alone. This story of beautiful bodies, secret agendas, meetings of the mind, hearts redeemed, and sinfully sensual sex, is heaven sent to say the least.Martha is a strong but scarred powerful psychic, whose powerful gift to 'read the future' has help to save the lives of the fallen angels and their mates, who inhabit the secret world of Shoel. When her visions warn her of the com [...]
I love this series. I really hope this isn't the last book.
My favorite fallen angels series so far. Cain is sex on acid he will make you cry and beg for it. LOVE.Instant revamp I have'nt done that since Fifty. I love when you cant figure out a plot, a person or what they are going to do. Just sit and enjoy the ride.Cain my description above says it all. He also is charming, teasing and a killer with an agenda to get vengeance. He targets Martha the mouse. Martha is a widow who is a seer. She thinks she is nothing and her visions are unimportant. He alwa [...]
I had been looking forward to Cain's story since finishing the last book. Not bad, an enjoyable read, predictable ending. Cain was an ass, hot nonetheless and I liked Martha!Demon is still my favourite in this series.
Esta saga sin duda me atrapo y creo que este es el mejor de todos.
FIVE GLORIOUS STARTS FOR CAIN!!! I cannot express my love for this book, by far my favourite in the series Not just because of Cain I mean of course it's because of Cain but also Martha. I didn't really care for Martha before, I didn't particularly like her either; which made me mad when I found out she was in the last book. But nevertheless keep reading to find out what I liked and disliked! (I have nothing bad to say about this book btw) SoMartha, where do I begin? She's quiet and pretty much [...]
(May) I was somewhat dreading reading this, since Martha did not impress me in the last few books. I admit, I ended up really liking her. Before this, she's been portrayed as a dishrag, a woman who barely takes up any space in the background, who was just there, boring and unimportant. Let into her thoughts, we discover that she is in fact quite an interesting character - a bit more of her backstory on earth would have been good, but we still discover more about her life with her deceased husban [...]
This book unfortunately didn't meet my expectations which is too bad since I really loved the last one and was really interested in the premise of this one. I still enjoyed it enough, and plan on continuing the series, but ultimately this one fell short. My primary issue was with regards to Cain and Martha's relationship and how they dealt with their respective pasts. Individually, I really liked both characters: Martha, the widow, seer, and survivor, who is also always seemingly calm, cool, and [...]
Cain Oh Cain How I hated thee. You are very bad man But I'm so happy that you are so smart and know how to throw a huge ass curve ball in this crazy ass angel world!! Loved this book!!! Ended up loving every single thing about Cain. I wish I could have more of him. So glad Miss "Mary" has her happy ending and finally getting some good ass! Can't wait for the next book, just keeps getting better and better. Going back to the darkness, so I'm sure it's going to be a total mind f*^k of a book.
This book was my favorite but I was getting nervous with only 4% left and I still didn't know wth was gonna happen with Cain and Marthy! I loved how a lot of secrets came out in this one we finally got some good answers. I am just sick of each book having a battle and someone almost dies and then they get brought back and they win. I want them to form there badass army and go kick Uriel's gray gew ass. Lol but I'm in love with these characters and I am ready for the next book ASAP!
I really liked this installment of The Fallen series!! It was the best so far. I enjoyed reading about the manipulative, scheming, revengeful, sexy bastard that is Cain! Did I mention sexy?? He has a way with words and he easily gets under Miss Mary's skin.loved it! Yes, you know the outcome of their relationship but the journey was fun.
This book left many unanswered questions and cliff hangers at the end as is expected with a book in a series. However, I have not been able to find the next book in the series and as this book was published in 2013 I am not sure there will be another book. So if you do not like series left hanging take that into consideration. I did enjoy the story and characters.
***SPOILER ALERT***Alright, I had to sit down and really think about things to say about this book. I loved this book, I REALLY did. I feel like Kristina Douglas is really letting us see the different personalities of the fallen. What I liked:Martha seemed to have transformed throughout the book. When a partner encourages change in their lover, that's always a good thing. She came out of that mousy shell she'd been sitting in forever and turned into a fierce little woman, LOL. I liked the Vase S [...]
Rebel is the last published book in the Fallen series by Kristina Douglas. Rebel tells of the fallen angel Cain, who returns to Sheol after a long period of time, nursing the need vengeance and revenge that has been haunting him for a long time. Cain is the hell raiser, the angel that everyone at Sheol has a hard time trusting given his penchant for causing trouble and leaving a trail of destruction in his wake. When Martha, the seer of the Fallen “sees” the arrival of Cain, Martha would lik [...]
The heroine has always felt like an outsider on the small island housing the fallen angels. Even when her husband was alive she never felt like she belonged but the older man had managed to make her feel loved, even though it was a friendship love. But now that he’s gone, she’s lost in her own head. Plagued with visions that are unreliable at best and dangerously incorrect at worst, she doesn’t even have the ability to help those around her. But when she envisions a man who will arrive on [...]
This book worried me. After reading Warrior Warrior I kind of felt like Kristina was falling into too many patterns. A weak/damaged/self-unaware woman has a dangerous run in with a brutish angel who is stuck in his role as a soldier bound by too many rules. These 2 individuals always start out hating each other. They are in moral opposition to one another, but ultimately their opposites attract and we always end up with a "You complete me" scenario. Rebel was no different. Honestly I didn't know [...]
4 Sexy Rebellious Stars“'I always did know how to make an entrance,' he said.”And does he ever! Cain, the rebel angel, is introduced with storm clouds, high winds, thunder, lightening and fire. He is formidable and is the catalyst that caused the other angels to fall in love and fall from heaven. He’s returned to Sheol on a mission, and it ain’t good. Millennia after Uriel killed the woman he loved, Cain is still looking for revenge on the one-time brothers who stood by and allowed his l [...]
Apparently everyone hates Cain. Which is fine with Cain because he hates everyone anyway. Still looking to settle a score from years ago when the other Fallen watched as the angels gutted his woman. He now is infiltrating them in order to gain their trust and destroy them from the inside out. He was not expecting a mousy mostly human widow to a Fallen to capture his interest. Known as a lothario, he could have his pick of any woman in the compound. Even the mated ones. Martha, the seer, provides [...]
Rebel (The Fallen #4) by Kristina DouglasI don’t totally love these books but I like them enough to continue. They are fun to read here and there between other books. This one wasn’t my favorite. After four books in, I was hoping to be a bit more invested in the storyline and characters. Cain is featured in this one. He’s an infamous throughout the course of fictional and biblical history, so it’s a tall order to create a memorable version of him. A number of authors do a fine job of tak [...]
There is nothing worse than being a seer with visions so unreliable they cause more havoc than good. Since her childhood in the human world, Martha has been cursed to see things she does not understand, having no hope of controlling. Can we change the last portion to read "things she does not understand and has no hope of controlling. When she is plagued by erotic visions of a fallen angel named Cain, she chooses to keep them to herself. Surely, they are nothing more than the dreams of a repress [...]
Fourth and maybe the strongest contender for best of the series so far.Cain has returned after years of voluntary exile? or just because he couldn't be bother to stick around with the rest of the mostly unemotional fallen. Either way I loved him and his complex bad boy attitude. He pushed all of Martha buttons which she needed. In the first few chapters I found her quite irritating and mousy then bam! she takes a stand and speaks up rather than just running away from conflict. I think they compl [...]
What it's about: In this fourth Fallen Angel installment, Kristina focuses on the bad boy and rebel, Cain. He has ulterior motives and wants nothing more than to infiltrate the Fallen and take revenge. Martha on the other hand is a seer and is still mourning her dead mate, Thomas. All the angel and human pairings remind her of what she's lost and will never have again. They both underestimate their chemistry and, though neither wants to admit it, it burns deeps and bright. Why you should read it: [...]
Not as explosive as the previous franchises.Raziel was one of a kind and undeniably the best among the series (for me). Not only did I find the whole notion of a fallen angel named Cain ridiculous, I also found the entire turn of events ironically stupid.I mean, sure it's great that there's finally an answer to the whole quest of all the wives' immortality but, really? So the Fallen spent an entire millennium upholding make-believe traditions? And to top it all, why Martha?Martha was not the typ [...]
4.5 starsI admit it, I was wary about this book. Michael has always been my favorite Archangel (not since this series--since forever) and I was disappointed with his book. So it's safe to say I was hesitant to read Cain's story.I never expected him to be so irresistible, or for Martha to be such a strong and likeable counterpart to him.The book was great, and the only thing I was disappointed in was the ending--it was a little too quick and to the point for me. Frankly, Cain should have been giv [...]
Solo negli ultimi tre/quattro capitoli abbi [...]
